He Mele No Lilo is Poetry

101 dalmatians cold

Brrrrrr! January. It starts. The next three months will be cold, icy, snowy, and dark. Yes. Winter has arrived in New England. And with the Silver Bells and Christmas Lights no longer lighting up the night path, the neighborhoods feel chilled as we all enter into hibernation.

What can a girl do about that?

Well, for one thing, she can use the magic of Disney to transport herself to the warm, beautiful, summery-islands of Hawaii! Lilo and Stitch is one of my all time favorite movies, and since today hasn’t been the most cheery, I just might have to keep this video on repeat.

By the way; have you ever wondered what they are saying during the opening song, He Mele No Lilo? It’s beautiful! The translation echoes the feeling of the song, with carefree, exotic, and sunny feelings! Enjoy 🙂
